Classic Turkey Meatballs - Healthier & Delicious

Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey (99% lean)
1 egg
1 tbs olive oil
Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese (using a low-quality and/or pre-grated cheese will change the flavor!)
1 small yellow onion, finely chopped
3-4 cloves of garlic, minced
1/2 tsp salt & pepper
Directions
Pre-heat the oven to 400 degrees and line a sheet pan with parchment paper.
Add all of the ingredients to a large mixing bowl and mix well with your hands until a uniform mixture forms.
Shape into meatballs (I made 16 1.5-inch meatballs) and add to the baking sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes, remove from oven and flip, then return to oven for an additional 10 minutes.
Serve over your favorite pasta!
Note: The meatballs freeze well if you would like to make a double batch and save half to have on hand for a busy weeknight.
